A Fun Read Is Cartoonist’s
Take On Collecting

“You better hurry home - your lava lamp is erupting again.”

The Lighter Side of Collecting!, sub-titled “Funny Cartoons for Serious Collectors,” by professional cartoonist and seasoned collector john Stinger, has been recently released. The book features 200 New Yorker-style cartoons, plus an additional 60 pages of the author’s humorous observations about the joys of chasing vintage stuff for fun and occasional profit.

“Our previous Mission Commander was a mission collector.”

It should appeal to anyone in the antiques/collectibles business – dealers, collectors, appraisers, pickers, show promoters, auctioneers, shop owners, and all those who live in a household of one of these. Furthermore, it is family friendly and non-offensive.

Stinger sold his first cartoon about antique in 1973 and in 1992 published his first book about collecting classics (I Buy Junk, I Sell Antiques.) His general line of award winning cartoons is syndicated in the United States, Canada and the UK.

The Lighter Side of Collecting! paperback book is available at $15.95 per copy plus shipping. It is published by Tanner Publishing. See or call 908-319-8957. Readers of this publication are entitled to a 10% discount off the retail price so do not forget to mention Old Stuff.
